Corrections Policy

CinemaHub wants its information to be accurate and corrects mistakes promptly. This page explains how to report an error and what happens next.

How to report an error

A contact address for corrections will be published on the contact page. When reporting an error, include the address of the page, a description of the problem and, if possible, a reliable source for the correct information.

Errors in catalog data

Synopses, cast, dates, images and scores come from TMDB, and streaming availability comes from JustWatch via TMDB. CinemaHub does not edit this data locally, so that it stays consistent with its source. The quickest fix is usually to correct the entry on TMDB, which anyone can do with a free account. CinemaHub reuses its saved copy of a title for up to 12 hours, so a correction appears the next time the page is loaded after that copy expires. If an error comes from how CinemaHub displays the data, it will be fixed on the site.

Errors in editorial content

When a factual error in a guide or other CinemaHub writing is confirmed:

  • the text is corrected as soon as possible;
  • for significant errors, a short correction note is added at the end of the article stating what was changed and when;
  • the article’s “updated” date is changed.

Minor changes such as typos or clearer wording are made without a note. CinemaHub does not silently change the meaning of published content.

What is not a correction

Disagreement with a TMDB user score, or a request to change the order of a ranked list, is not treated as a correction: those reflect TMDB data under rules stated on each page.
